As we all know, the heat generation and heat dissipation of solid tires are the biggest difficulties to be solved. Since rubber is a poor conductor of heat, coupled with the all-rubber structure of solid tires, it is difficult for solid tires to dissipate heat. The accumulation of heat promotes the aging of rubber, which in turn leads to the damage of solid tires. Therefore, the level of heat generation is an important indicator for determining the performance of solid tires. Usually, the methods for testing the heat generation and durability of solid tires include the drum method and the whole machine test method.

GB/T22391-2008 “Drum Method for Solid Tire Durability Test” stipulates the operation method of solid tire durability test and the judgment of test results. Since the test is carried out under specific conditions, the influence of external factors is small, and the test results are accurate. High reliability, this method can not only test the normal durability of solid tires, but also do a comparative test of solid tires; the whole machine test method is to install the test tires on the vehicle and simulate the tire test of the vehicle using conditions , because there is no test condition stipulated in the standard, the test results vary greatly due to the influence of factors such as the test site, vehicle, and driver. It is suitable for the comparison test of solid tires and is not suitable for normal durability performance testing.
